Bio
I'm Cazz, a music composer and producer from Pittsburgh, PA. I started my musical journey as a DJ, going from house parties, to clubs, to being fortunate enough to catch the ear of respected producers in hip hop. One of these producers is Domingo, who was most known for his work with artists such as Big Pun, Eminem, Amy Whinehouse, Drake, and Bone Thugs N Harmony. Through our relationship, he gave me my first credits on songs with M.O.P., KRS-1, Rass Kass, Kool G Rap, and Aftermath's Joell Ortiz. Around this time, I had also connected with Doc Ice from the legendary hip hop group UTFO, whose hit song "Roxanne Roxanne," catapulted them to stardom in the mid 1980's. In 2008, Doc asked me to be his DJ, which I gladly accepted, until his departure from music in 2015/2016. After working on a number of songs together, we would eventually work closely with another music colleague, Michael DeBarge. The three of us worked on a song with Skee-Lo ("I Wish I Was A Little Bit Taller"), titled "Overdose," in 2009. Following that release, Mike added me to more projects with Skee-Lo, David Ruffin Jr., and a female pop group named RetroGlam.
My main interest now is producing and composing music. As of June 2023, I've been signed on as a producer and A&R member of the Sony affiliated label, Midtown Radio, located in NYC. Please feel free to contact me anytime.
